In his words
When I was 17 yrs old living in Spain, I met a native from the Amazonian jungle who recognized me as his apprentice. I traveled with him to the jungle of Peru where I spent many years learning and integrating the new culture I was living. Both of us went so deep into the jungle, into the virgin jungle. And for a long time we were following a special diet, a very strict diet and we were in silence for periods of even a month.

In this time my master opened for me the doors of Amazonian Spirituality. He taught me to connect with the spirits of the plants and have a relationship as friends with them. The spirits taught me so much about their own qualities, physically as well as spiritually. These "beings" (for that is what the master plants really are) taught me the ancient art of shamanic healing. I was many years walking this path until one day the plants sent me to help people all over the world.
And that is what I am doing right now and that is what I will continue doing until I feel the guidance to walk another path.
The spiritual world of the plants, the trees, and the rivers is a world that we live most deeply through our own experience. You can only learn it through experiencing it.

A powerful plant teacher forms the base of the indigenous cosmic vision. This plant is a vine, which in the Quechua language we call ayahuasca. This word means, "the vine of the spirits". This plant is the center of the shamanism of the jungle. The ayahuasca is recognized as the mother of all the plants. When we drink this vine it opens a profound change in ourselves as we enter into a higher reality.
Once inside the spirit of the plant, it reveals to us so many things about the life and about ourselves. In this process our inner structures and mental patterns emerge and once they are seen we can work to recognize and accept them and develop our inner health.
It is profound spiritual work.

The ayahuasca opens for us the doors of perceptions into our inner world. Recognizing in this way the old patterns, our strengths and our weaknesses, we begin to see beyond our highest self. In this way we reconnect with our pure essence and we can recognize that we are part of the universe, that everything is connected and that the life is just one step in the whole way of existence. It is a profound experience of the blossoming of spiritual freedom, a transformational experience that gives us learning on many levels.
When one enters into this spiritual realm one must feel the desire and openness for this experience. If this desire is not there, or it is not so in the current moment, there is nothing to worry about.
As we say in the jungle...
"The ayahuasca is for everyone, but not everyone is for the ayahuasca".
If this sacred medicine calls to you, how beautiful. If it does not, still how beautiful is the life.
